Conservation and Projects
Trout Unlimited is a cold water conservation organization. We make fishing better by advocating for the fish.
Penns Creek TU supports and works with conservation groups and various organizations, such as Penns Valley Conservation Association, PA TROUT, PATU Women Outreach Weekend, and Mifflin County Conservation District Stream Improvement Projects.
Community Outreach and Youth Education
The Chapter is actively engaged in education and outreach to all members of the community, especially youth.
Chapter members provide hands-on activities that introduce aspects of fly fishing like casting, fly tying and stream ecology. The Chapter has supported schools participating in the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) program for more than 15 years. We believe that young people are the next generation of conservationists on which the future of healthy streams and fly fishing depend.
